Star Wars x Coca-Cola

The Background
Disney and Coca-Cola spotted the perfect opportunity to unite fans from across the galaxy with their "Refresh Your Galaxy" collaboration. They needed a global campaign that would celebrate the uplifting power of fandom, bringing together Coca-Cola's magic with Star Wars' epic storytelling to connect fans across 50 countries and reach billions worldwide.

 

The Execution

I led the UI design and digital experience for Holocreator, the world's first real-time AR hologram experience integrating user-generated content. Partnering with Ogilvy (WPP) over nearly a year, I worked closely with the UX team to shape an interface that brought Star Wars hologram technology into reality.

 

We built a design system that merged Star Wars' iconic tech aesthetic with Coca-Cola's brand identity. My team and I created modular UI components that guided users through the entire journey: scan your Coke, record yourself, and transmit your own hologram.

The breakthrough was designing an intuitive interface that let anyone become a Star Wars character. We envisioned this as the next generation of video messaging, AR 3D messages in hologram form.

Fans could move from watching Star Wars to living it, with holographic communication tech that was once sci-fi fantasy now in their hands.

 
 

Digital Collectable
The experience extended beyond holograms. Fans could scan any of the 28 unique Coca-Cola can designs to unlock digital collectibles, living posters with parallax animation that brought the physical artwork into a dynamic digital experience.
